I’m a huge fan of gifts that can be consumed/ used up, especially if they are homemade. Both to give and to receive. It’s a great idea to have a few options on standby, so you are never short of ideas about what to give.
I made a batch of this gorgeous looking Christmas spiced salt from one of my favourite cookbooks: Nigella Christmas. The fact that you just need to stir things together, makes it perfect for the time poor last minute foodie gift giver ;). In Weck jars with pretty ribbons, it didn’t need any wrapping before being handed out to friends and family.
Or, if you are not time poor, it could be part of a gorgeous homemade hamper!
